INGREDIENTS

We value clean, pure ingredients which ensure potent, consistent delivery for our formulas.

Orthosilicic Acid

This form of Orthosilicic acid (OSA) is unlike any other silicon on the market. Because of Phase 4 Silicon’s patented formula and unique process, it’s a new frontier of silicon that exists in a hydrated liquid/gel state that combines the power of elemental silicon with the delivery efficiency of the Silicon Hydrate, which we refer to as Silicon Plasma. This allows the body to distribute and utilize the healing properties very efficiently. The absorption rate is between 60%-70%. Delivering the forgotten macro-nutrient, Silicon, in a readily bioavailable, liquid/gel delivery system, similar to the body’s synovial, joint, and cellular fluids for maximum efficacy. The increased collagen and elastin in the body stimulates healthy new growth of tissues like skin, muscles, and cartilage, and also boosts the repair of damaged tissue inside and out. Silica also supports cardiovascular health by bolstering the elastin in artery walls and the fine tissues of the heart.

Hyaluronic Acid

The Super Hydrator that can hold 1,000x its weight in water. Known for its anti-aging properties and has been shown to have the potential to modify the way the body responds to tissue damage and increase wound healing. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in our bodies, distributed throughout our skin, tissues, and joints. In our skin, it’s located in the basal layer of the epidermis, where it hydrates and repairs tissues. Hyaluronic acid also works as a joint lubricant to prevent friction, and as a hydrator that maintains the structure of our eyeballs. In terms of its composition, hyaluronic acid is a humectant, meaning it binds and attracts moisture.

Aloe Powder

So many people are familiar with the benefits of aloe that is seemed almost silly to write about it, but it is important to know that it’s benefits extend beyond the use for burn or wound care. The plant is high in anthraquinones and polysaccharides with the latter being the key constituent. There is significant research and many peer-reviewed journals that talk about the health benefits of aloe that we can’t talk about here due to FDA regulation, but the astute person can find many peer-reviewed medical journals to become abreast with all of the information available. Once you have, you will understand why every one of our topicals contains aloe in it and why aloe is one of the reasons why our topicals work on such a wide range of ailments. Here at Æthurbæl we are always hearing from people about what they used our topicals on that worked. I would say it surprises us but it doesn’t. We have made these topicals to be so effective that you can put it on anything that ails you. (But please don’t eat it or put it in your eyes!)

Etherium Gold

Orbitally Rearranged Monoatomic Meteoric Elements (ORMME). Rich in Gold, Silver, Chromium, Platinum, Rhodium, Iridium. Purified from an ancient seabed from the site of a meteorite impact. Superconductor properties that assist with nerve pains and energetic imbalances within the body tissue.

Fulvic Acid

Reducing oxidative stress is essential to healing. The body needs support to be able to heal. Fulvic acid is known for its potential as an antioxidant. Fulvic Acid is also known to treat eczema and psoriasis and is rich in Trace Elements. The well-studied anti-inflammatory effects and phytochemical properties of Fulvic Acid help to support the other herbs in each formula. Since it is the decomposed result of ancient plants. Combined with our selection of Essential Oils to activate rapidity. The short-chain Dalton measurements of Fulvic Acid allows it to cross the blood-brain barrier. With its amphiphilic traits that have fat loving and water loving molecular structures. (FA) has anomaly trait regarding its structure and size. The Astringent Properties have brought many skins toning results. Along with cleansing properties. (FA) can help with enhanced collagen production, even greater with Orthosilicic Acid. All this while still brightening and protecting skin.

Frankincense

Frankincense, Boswellia spp, has a rich Biblical and Pagan history as use for offerings and incense in temples. It is one of the three gifts brough to the baby Jesus in the Bible and was used by the ancient Egyptians in their temples to honor the Sun god Ra. It is still used by the Catholic church as a sacred incense and by many other people and religions across the world. Frankincense possesses many healing properties which may be one reason why it was considered sacred. The list of primary constituents is too numerous to list but a few really well-known constituents are Alpha-Pinene, Alpha-Thujene, Limonene, and Camphene. These along with Frankincense’ other constituents give it many health benefits and can be taken both internally and externally in different forms. The FDA prohibits us from telling you about the health benefits of Frankincense, but the astute person can find them easily online.

Myrrh

Steam Distilled from resin Myrrh Gum, Commiphora myrrha, is rich in a number of naturally occurring primary constituents that give myrrh it’s therapeutic benefits. The most significant constituent isFuranoeudesma-1.3-Diene. This constituent is responsible for myrrh’s analgesic effects. Curzerene is the second most abundant constituent and is an aromatic terpene, or sesquiterpene, that has demonstrated anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties in vitro. Other important constituents of myrrh are Lindestrene, Beta-Elemene, Germacrene Isomer I, Germacrone, Alpha-Copaene, Germancrene B. There are many other constituents that make up less than 1% of myrrh’s properties but still contribute to its essential function. There are numerous clinical studies, placebo-controlled trials, and peer-reviewed medical journals describing the many benefits of myrrh. FDA regulation prohibit us from citing these studies here, but the astute person can find them on their own and learn why this important plant resin can be found in nearly all of our topical productsM

Evening Primrose Oil

This is one of our primary base oils chosen for its high content of Linoleic and gamma-linolenic acids (GLA), which are essential fatty acids, and phospholipids which are a major component of the cell’s membrane. GLA is crucial for the cell’s development and the body’s creation of hormones. The oil is rich in antioxidants and is most commonly used in skin care and is often taken internally. (Do not eat our topicals. They contain high levels of essential oils which can be toxic if ingested.) These provide essential nutrients for your cells while providing a carrier oil for our other ingredients. This is than combined with the water based orthosilicic acid through our patented emulsification technique that combines water and oil into one form. This allows our topicals to not have a greasy feel and to dry clean while still delivering the nutrients and plant medicines deep into the tissues. Evening Primrose Oil has been researched for its benefits on arthritis, wounds, skin conditions, acne, osteoporosis, and much more.*

Black Seed Oil

Black Cumin Seed Oil, Nigella sativa, is rich in vitamins A, B, and C, along with minerals including zinc, copper, potassium, and selenium. It is widely used in the nutraceutical industry and as a nutritional supplement. Its primary use throughout history has been for skin problems and for join pain relief. The major constituent Thymoquinone is believed to be the reason for black seed oil to provide a wide range of health benefits.

Goldenseal

We use Goldenseal, Hydrastis canadensis, as an extract in our Simple X formula. This is easily one of the favorite herbs of our founder Bonnie D’Arcangelo. One of the key constituents berberine has so many health benefits that it has become one of the most popular supplements on the market. There are other sources of berberine outside of golden seal and this is very important because goldenseal is most often wild-harvested and is considered at risk for extinction by the United Plant Savers (www.UnitedPlantSavers.org). This is why the founders Bonnie and Michael started a non-profit called Michigan Protects to grow, plant, and protect native at-risk medicinal plants in Michigan. Goldenseal is one of the plants their 501c3 charity protects. For more information and to find out how you can support the future of herbal medicine for the next generation visit www.MichiganProtects.org. Goldenseal is also rich in the isoquinoline alkaloids β-hydrastine and canadine. Together the synergistic effects of golden seal work to create what our founder calls “one of the most important plant medicines.”

Gotu Kola

Gotu Kola is quickly becoming a favorite ingredient for the reduction of stretch marks and scars. It is revered in Ayurvedic systems of its rejuvenating and adaptogenic properties and is called the “herb of longevity.” Externally it aids the nervous and circulatory systems along with the connective tissues. Daoist practitioners ate Gotu Kola regularly and attributed their longevity and spiritual/cognitive abilities to the plant. Rich in triterpenoid saponins a flavonoid that modern research has shown to have a positive effect on the capillaries, blood vessel walls, and potentially improve cerebral blood flow. The plant is also rich in phytosterols, tannins, and amino acids. These can help to boost collagen synthesis and provide antioxidant activity.

Maritime Pine

Maritime pine, Pinus pinaster, extract is only found in our Re-Gen Vein topical but could very easily be included in nearly everyone of our products. It is most widely used for reducing the signs of aging and sun exposure. It has a wide range of benefits for the skin including reducing redness and discoloration, improving skin texture, and boosting production of hyaluronic acid and collagen. This extract may help with cell regeneration, replication, and the reduction of free radicals, while helping to reduce the appearance of scars and improve the wound healing process.

Lavender

Lavender is possibly one of the most extensively studied essential oils and if you read enough of our labels you will find that it is in just about every one of our topicals. This is because there is so much research available as to the benefits of lavender that there is no reason why it shouldn’t be included. There are several varieties of lavender and some are considered more medically beneficial than others. True English lavender, Lavandula angustifolia, is the most commonly used variety and is considered the ”official” variety. This essential oil is the primary ingredient and healing agent in our wound care formula due to its numerous clinical studies and medical journals as to it’s benefit in wound healing. Due to FDA regulations, we are not allowed to talk about these studies, but the astute person can easily find them online. We are also not allowed to tell you all of the wonderful actions and abilities of lavender, but I will list a few of the most notable plant constituents contained in lavender and the curious mind can look them up for further reference. In order of greatest quantity, they are Linalool, Linalyl Acetate, Caryophyllene, 1,8 Cineole, Sabinene, Terpinen-4-ol, and Alpha-Terpineol, plus many many more.

Rosemary

Rosmarinus officinallis, is a strong and powerful essential oil that is high in camphor. This combined with rosemary’s other plant constituents 1,8-Cineole, Alpha-Pinene, etc., give the plant it’s potent medicinal properties. It also acts as a natural preserving agent allowing us to not have to use synthetic preservatives. The plants subcellular localization and epigenetic influence is upon the endocytic vesicles and the skeletal/Integumentary systems respectively. This is crucial as it is how a cell interacts with its surrounding environment to intake influences from the outside. This process called endocytosis, allows a cell to take in material from the outside. It is vital that any supplement or topical formula be able to enter into the cell’s membrane if it is to have an effect at more than a surface level. We are constantly working to improve the way we deliver plant medicines and nutrients deep into the body’s tissues and cells and having a plant ally such as rosemary is essential in this quest.

Eucalyptus

We use the officially recognized medicinal plant Eucalyptus globulus, for our source of eucalyptus essential oil. When people think of eucalyptus they usually think respiratory conditions, but the plant has much broader applications and is useful for a variety of ailments and conditions. The primary constituents in eucalyptus EO are 1,8-Cineole, Alpha-Pinene, D-Limonene, Beta-Pinene, Sabinene, and Para-Cymene. There are many other constituents of eucalyptus EO but these are the ones primary responsible for the medicinal actions of the plant. FDA prohibits us from listing those actions (ex. Anti-inflammatory) as those statements are not evaluated by the FDA and thus are deemed as structure and function claims. But, an astute person can easily look online for information about each one of the plant’s constituents and find more information for themselves. The more you know, the more you grow.

Juniper

We love Juniper at Æthurbæl. One doesn’t normally think of pain relief and Juniper, nor do we think of it in the context of fluid retention. But it is a wonderful plant for both of those needs and so much more. It can be used to help support the pancreas, liver, and gallbladder, as well therapeutically being used to uplift one’s mood when feeling overwhelmed or encourage the sensation of love. The wonderful thing about Æthurbæl’s topicals is that you not only get a skin ointment but you get an aromatherapy experience simultaneously. The therapeutic properties of juniper are numerous and we believe that it deserves a place in our topicals so that we can bring you the greatest relief for your ailments. Like many of the other essential oils we use, juniper is high in Alpha-Pinene, Alpha-Thujene, Beta-Myrcene, Sabinene, and Limonene. What sets Juniper apart is the constituent Alpha-Humulene and Gamma-Elemene. The subcellular localization of juniper is the microtubule cytoskeleton which makes this essential oil excellent for helping cells to maintain their shape, giving structural support, and provides a critical role in intercellular transportation. We love juniper for anything that has to do with restoring and/or maintaining shape and appearance.

Cypress

Cupressus sempervirens, or cypress is a fresh and woody evergreen essential oil that’s subcellular localization is the endocytic vesicles. Thus, is directly enters into the cells and can deliver its potent plant constituents directly where needed. Cypress is very high in Alpha-Pinene and Delta-3-Carene. It also has substantial amounts of Alpha-Terpinolene, Limonene, Myrcene, Alpha-Terpinyl Acetate, and Beta-Pinene. The plant is very stimulating to the circulation and promotes fluid balance in the body. Emotionally cypress is used in aromatherapy to combat feelings of overwhelm and guilt, and to help one through difficult transitions. The latter is very important on a metaphysical level and the ability of something to help with transitions is very important. When a plant or any other thing can help you move from one place to another it means that it can promote change. When working to heal the body we need to promote change. Often in herbal medicine we combine herbs in sets of three. One herb is the primary herb that is responsible for the action we want to change, the second herb is a directing herb, and the third is a supportive herb. Cypress in some way fulfills all three of these, it transitions from one state to the next, can direct things to where they are supposed to go (out), and is supportive of the body. This is why cypress is the subject of research and clinical trials to determine its use medically.

Roman Chamomile

Chamomile is notable one of the most widely drank teas, but most people do not know that there are different varieties of chamomile, German and Roman. Each of the varieties has different and similar medicinal values. Roman Chamomile is used in our topicals for its specific qualities of pain relief and the unique plant constituents. The most abundant constituents being Isobutyl Angelate, 2-Methylbutyl Angelate, Methyallyl Agelate, and Isoamyl Angelate. You will notice a trend in all these constituents and that is that they all end in angelate and that is because they are all esters of an unsaturated organic acid. This means that its valence bonds are not full and they will share carbon atoms with other molecules. This is important medically in understanding how something will react with another substance or with the body.

Turmeric

It is hard to say anything about turmeric, Curcuma longa, these days that most people haven’t already heard. Widely known to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric is being used to a growing number of medical conditions. We include turmeric in our formulas because of its ability to calm inflammation, provide pain relief, and maintain an environment free from microbes, bacteria, parasites, viruses, and fungus. Turmeric can also calm and sooth the nerves which allows it to provide relief to injuries and chronic conditions. It also has an epigenetic influence on the musculoskeletal and reproductive systems. With so many negative influences in our environment it is important to protect ourselves and turmeric can help influence the body in a positive way.

Neroli

Neroli, Citrus x aurantium, is an essential oil extract from the flowers of the bitter orange tree. It is a very expensive essential oil with therapeutic benefits both topically and as an aromatherapy. The oil is high in the plant constituents Linalool, Limonene, Beat-Pinene, Linalyl Acetate, and Trans-Beta-Ocimene. The latter is a monoterpene commonly found in cannabis plants and has a sweet fruity flavor. Neroli is added to a select few of our topicals and may help to increase the ability to reduce inflammation and pain.*

Bergamot

Bergamot, Citrus bergamia, essential oil is cold pressed from citrus peels. Citrus bergamia is different than the flower Mentha citrata, commonly called bergamot. It is commonly used to flavor tea and has a fresh, fruity, aroma due to its high content of Limonene. Bergamot is also high in Linalyl Acetate, Linalool, Gamma-Terpinene, and Beta-Pinene. Bergamot is localized subcellularly in the cytoplasm and has an epigenetic influence on the skeletal and integumentary system. The cytoplasm is where the cell stores molecules that are used for cellular processes. This allows the influence of bergamot to be ongoing as additional resources are able to be stored by the cell for later use. Bergamot has been researched for its ability to remove cellular waste and pathogens and can promote the relaxation of blood vessels. It also influences endothelial inflammation and some studies show that it may even have an effect on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. Bergamot may also influence the calcium ion activity of the body which is responsible for muscle contraction, cell death, and cell motility.

Every ingredient is chosen based on research into clinical trials and peer-reviewed medical journals. This research gives the foundation for why the combination of herbs chosen works so effectively and alleviates what ails you.
